We have a number of Trimble Dealers that can
assemble
a complete system for you including Computer, GPS, and our HGIS
software.
We prefer the Trimble AgGPS series. With a clear view of the sky and a
Trimble sub-meter GPS, you can attain
better than one meter accuracy. (If you
already have a Trimble dealer, ask about
HGIS.)

Magellan
For hi-accuracy applications, we recommend
Ashtech centimeter
grade DGPS. Our software moniters the Carrier Phase status of
these
receivers. This allows us to alert you if the receiver loses
Carrier
Phase lock ( The GPS reverts to sub-meter accuracy.) You can then
wait
until Carrier Phase lock is re-attained in order to resume logging
centimeter
data.

For low cost GPS, we recommend Garmin. With
a clear
view of the sky, you can attain an absolute accuracy of about 3 meters
(10 feet). They can be purchased
