HGIS is virtually identical on all machines - Desktop, Laptop, and Pocket Computer.
You can learn it in the office before you use it in the field.
This software is for licensed users or evaluation use only.
You may not analyze, reverse engineer, or decompile it without written permission.
 
STOWAWAY KEYBOARD WARNING
Unplugging the keyboard does not free the GPS Port(COM1).  Find the Stowaway ICON and uncheck the checkbox "Always look for Keyboard" before starting HGIS.
 

To load HGIS on your Pocket Computer: 
1) Determine the processor type of your pocket computer.  If it is a current model, then the file 
     to use is HGIS_ARM.EXE.  If it is an older model computer find the processer type under
     Settings...System...About or Settings...System...General or Settings...Control Panel...About
2) Click the HGIS......EXE  file below  for your processor type.
    Save the file to a temporary folder on your machine. (this will take a minute or two)
    If there is an error during download, the file is invalid.  Try downloading again.
    (some possible errors are 'Timeout' or 'Reset by Peer')
3) Connect the Pocket computer and start Microsoft ActiveSync on the Desktop.
    (ActiveSync is on your CD or free from www.microsoft.com/windowsce)
4) Locate the following folder using ActiveSync Explorer from the desktop computer:
     My Pocket PC...Windows...Desktop        or
     My Pocket PC...Windows...Start Menu   (Not the Startup folder)
5) Use Copy and Paste to move the saved HGIS.....EXE file to this folder (not the Startup folder).
6)  The HGIS ICON will now appear under the Start menu (or on the Desktop)
7) Enter the demo or license registration code the first time you run the software.
    (To get a Demo Registration code press back on your browser now.)
 

CHOOSE YOUR PROCESSOR THEN CLICK TO DOWNLOAD: 
  All files are the same Version of HGIS GPS mapping software.
